Understanding Your Dog (Online or In-Person)
Service Description
Group sessions are designed for owners who want to understand how feeding actually works before making changes. Rather than focusing on specific brands, recipes or meal plans, these sessions explain the foundations behind how dogs are designed to eat and why feeding often becomes confusing in modern care. This is an educational session, not an individual case consult. The purpose is to provide clarity so owners can make informed decisions confidently rather than relying on conflicting advice or constant diet changes. Group sessions may be conducted online or in person and typically run between 60 and 120 minutes. A minimum of five participants is required for a group booking. What You Will Learn Why feeding advice often conflicts and why owners feel unsure what to follow. How a dog’s biological design influences chewing, appetite, hunger and feeding behaviour. Why feeding structure and routine matter as much as food choice. How domestication changed management without changing the animal itself. Why many common feeding problems appear even when owners are trying to feed well. How to approach feeding in a practical and realistic way for your household. What This Session Provides A clear framework for understanding feeding decisions. Confidence to make changes without fear of “getting it wrong.” The ability to interpret your dog’s responses rather than depend on rigid instructions. Practical guidance you can apply immediately at home. How It Works The session is discussion-based and interactive. Questions are encouraged throughout. We begin by explaining the biological and historical background of dog feeding, including how modern feeding models developed. From there, we connect that understanding to everyday feeding practices so owners can see how to apply it practically. Individual case plans are not created during group sessions. Owners requiring specific application to their dog may book a private consult. My Approach These sessions are educational first. The aim is not to provide recipes, strict diet rules, or product recommendations. The aim is to help owners understand the animal so feeding becomes logical rather than stressful. When owners understand the “why,” they no longer need to rely on constant changes or external instructions.
Cancellation Policy
Madra Pet Wellness Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy At Madra Pet Wellness, appointment times are reserved especially for you and your animal. To provide the best service and ensure fairness to all clients, the following policies apply to all bookings. Booking & Payment All appointments are paid upfront at the time of booking through our online booking system. Your appointment is not confirmed until payment has been received. 24-Hour Cancellation Policy A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations made with more than 24 hours’ notice will receive: A full credit applied to your account OR A full refund (minus any booking platform fees if applicable). Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment are non-refundable. Rescheduling You may reschedule your appointment up to 24 hours in advance with no penalty. Rescheduling within 24 hours is treated as a cancellation and is non-refundable, as this time cannot be filled at short notice. No-Shows Failure to attend your appointment without notice is considered a no-show. No-shows are non-refundable, and a new appointment will require a new booking and payment. Late Arrival If you arrive late, your session will still finish at the scheduled time so that the next client is not delayed. If you are more than 15 minutes late, the session may be cancelled and treated as a no-show. Clinician Cancellations In the rare event that Madra Pet Wellness must cancel or reschedule your appointment, you will receive: Priority rebooking, and A full refund or credit—whichever you prefer. Agreement By completing your booking, you acknowledge and agree to this Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy.
